Ahmed Faiyaz has over 19 years of consulting experience, and focuses on expanding KPMG’s footprint in the healthcare industry.
His expertise includes strategy and operations, needs assessment and capacity planning, market access and growth strategy, privatization of public health facilities and services, organisational and health system transformation and PPP. He also supports KPMG services on mergers and acquisitions, commercial due diligence, capital and debt advisory, and digital enablement, among others.
Ahmed was previously at another Big four consulting firm, where he focused on growth strategy, restructuring strategy, corporatization and privatization initiatives for public sector health services and commercial due diligence engagements in the healthcare and life sciences domains. Earlier in his career, Ahmed worked for professional services counterparts Kearney and Protiviti, as well as KPMG.
Notable consultancy project experience includes supporting the corporatization strategy of public sector hospitals, developing a medical tourism strategy for a health cluster, and due diligence for a transaction in the long-term care and post-acute rehabilitation services business.
Ahmed also spent a total of nine years with the Dubai Health Authority across two stints. Most recently, he served as a key member of the institution’s Health investments and public-private partnerships (PPP) team, leading its 2017-20 strategy formulation and overseeing the delivery of a various key of initiatives including the Dubai Health Investment Guide and various PPP projects.
